Builth Wells is host to the Royal Welsh Show each July. THE SITE IS FULLY BOOKED FOR THE WEEK OF THE SHOW (19 - 25 July 2008).

A wide range of events take place at the Showground throughout the year - visit the RWAS website for a list of all events taking place there during the year.

You do not always need to book in advance, but sometimes it’s a good idea to check if we have room, especially on bank holiday weekends or if you would like a pitch with electricity or a hard standing pitch.

Our site will host the TransWales mountain bike event in August (16th/17th and 23rd/24th). Please note that the site will be particularly busy during the August bank holiday (23rd/24th August), especially when the riders return on Saturday 23rd.

There is plenty to keep you busy in Builth including an 18-hole golf course, tennis and squash courts, a swimming pool, bowling and putting greens, and good bars and restaurants. There are plenty of opportunities nearby for fishing, bird watching, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding and walking. We are also on the route of the Wye Valley Walk and Lôn Las Cymru, the Welsh National Cycle Route which runs from north to south Wales.

There are plenty of outdoor activities to do in mid Wales, but if you prefer relaxing then just take it easy and enjoy the countryside!
